The cool, innovative look and lightweight balance are the obligatory props, but the P-38 is awesome in so many other ways. The month I got it, I recorded my whole album with it. The on-board mixer and selectors between piezo and hum/sing/sing pickups is quite useful, and the stereo output make this guitar a very versatile recording tool! Even, unplugged, I get great resonance from the strings, and the action plays more like an acoustic than electrics usually do, but I love it.

Bought the Parker bout 2 years ago. Instantly impressed with the neck and the playability although a slightly 'one trick' guitar. Not easy to get fat, vintage tones due to light bodyweight-minor complaint bout great guitar. Got a custom Jack Daniels paint job on mine-SWEET!

Grateful Dead, Fire on the MOuntain, chord change is simple: from A to B--what would be the best scales to play over this??? UCONNMO@yahoo.com

Parker makes a lot of cool guitars. I was surprized that the P38 is so light being a bolt-on wood guitar. It sounds warm and fat even in the treble range. It's a really great instrument. I think I paid $700 for mine, but I guess they're out there for less now.

I bought a P-38 about a year ago and can honestly say it is the best electric guitar I have ever owned. The piezo bridge has made my Ovation all but obsolete. Buy one!
